I think I’ve found my new go-to spot for all of my meals. Recently opened in Copley Square as their first Boston location, Dig Inn already has a strong following in New York City, and I’m so glad that it’s making a stop here. Think Sweetgreen, but heartier. I recently met Jen at a Boston bloggers’ event, and she introduced me to this beautiful establishment where we caught up for dinner.
The interior is stunningly aesthetic, with wooden accents and cute ways of hanging their menus. The menu explains the process for building your own bowl, where you can choose a base (from greens, farro, or rice), a protein (from chicken thigh, salmon, meatballs, and more), and two sides (there’s a lot to choose from!).
My bowl consisted of Toasted Farro with Butternut Squash and Celery as the base, Charred Chicken Thigh as the protein, Kale Caesar Salad and Roasted Apples as my sides, and a drizzle of pesto on top. The chicken thigh was perfectly tender, and the pesto and sides added bursts of flavor to complete the experience.
Jen got a bowl withToasted Farro with Butternut Squash and Celery as the base, Wild Sockeye Salmon as the protein, and Roasted Cauliflower and Roasted Sweet Potatoes as the sides. “I love Dig Inn because the line moves quickly, the customer service is superb and the food is delicious,” Jen explained.
“I really like that you can see the food over the counter and the farm to table concept. The whole restaurant has a very Instagram worthy design concept and plenty of seats for lots of friends. Plus, they do their part to save the planet by recycling and composting, which is awesome!”
I’m excited to come back to Dig Inn again in the future, and take a look at their breakfast/brunch menu at some point too! Watch out, Sweetgreen.
